| The service we offer is ground/fixed base microwave wireless Internet. Our service utilizes IEEE 802.11b, 2.4 GHz spectrum. This means it is not satellite Internet where the signal travels to space and back. Our service is similar to cell phone tower technology. Higher-Speed Internet has Internet towers or relays located all over the East Mountain area. |

| If your home or business is in the line of site to our towers you will qualify for our service. We then install a microwave radio, similar to the one on the right, to the side of your building and point it to our relay network. From this device we install a category 5 OSP cable from the radio to your computer or router. |  |

We require the new customer to either provide on the day of installation a UPS, uninterruptible power supply, or we can provide. This is required to protect the equipment we install on your building from the power surges, spikes, sags, brown outs, etc. The UPS will also protect your computer from the same issues. | If you desire to have more than one computer online at the same time you will have to either provide on the day of the installation or we can provide a router. The router will enable you to plug in up to four computers to be online and allows for your laptops to be online as well. The routers we commonly sell is the Linksys WRT54G as seen here: |  |
The standard installation is $299.95 for radios similar to the picture above. If the line of site of your location to our towers is further than this radio can operate, a higher priced installation may be required.

We sell and configure the router for secure communications for $89.00
The monthly Internet access fees are as follows:
- 256K download and 128K upload rates at $24.95 per month.
- 512K download and 256K upload rates for $29.95 per month.
- 1M download and 512K upload rates for $44.95 per month.
The 256K/128K plan is ideal for folks who just want to check their email, banking institutions, and browse the web.
The 512K/256K plan is ideal for folks who perform the same functions as the folks who desire the 225K/128K plan, but have a job that may require a vpn/rdp connection to work from home.
The 1M/512K plan is ideal for folks who perform the same functions as the folks who desire both plans mentioned above but have a need to game on the Internet or download music/movies.
Data rates can vary depending on, but not limited to terrain, network utilization, etc. Higher-Speed Internet reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.
The monthly service fees are due monthly, but we accept quarterly payments (in advance of service); and we give you a month free if you pay for a year of service in advance.
